Advisory BoardMatthew has had a distinguished career spanning decades at the forefront of biotechnology and entrepreneurship, consistently pushing boundaries in human biology and immunology. After being selected for a Sloan Fellowship which led to a Master of Science Management degree at Stanford Business School, Matthew then graduated as an Immunology and Cancer Biology Scholar in Residence at Stanford Medicine. He was on the Advisory Board of Stanford’s Institute for Immunity, Transplantation and Infection, helping establish the Institute and serving as Chair of Education for over nine years. He was also the first Director of Corporate Development at Genentech, where he orchestrated an $80 million R&D public offering—a milestone in biotechnology finance. Matthew is a respected figure amongst numerous scientific societies including the American Association of Immunologists and has held positions on various boards. He has been a driving force behind transformative innovations in biotechnology, contributing to over a dozen successful exits that have redefined standards of care in life sciences. Matthew is also an active angel investor and has nurtured many groundbreaking startups and entrepreneurial endeavours.
