David Saint, PhD, MBA, GAICD

David is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Adelaide, having previously been Head of the Discipline of Physiology. He holds a PhD in Pharmacology and Physiology, with research interests in Cardiovascular medicine. He has served for many years as a grant assessor for NHMRC, ARC, MRFF and other bodies. He has extensive experience in the commercialisation of biomedical research, and holds an MBA(Advanced) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). He has served as a consultant to Biomedical companies in Canada, UK and Australia, and was the Founding CEO of Verona Pharmaceuticals. He is the Founder and current chairman of Southern Angels, a group based in Adelaide that invests in start-up companies and provides mentoring and networking support.
